Summary
We collect what we need to run a fair launch board and prove results to makers. We do not sell personal data. Outbound click tracking records the click, not who you are on the other site.
What we collect
- Account data: email, name, handle, password hash, profile details you add, and linked X, GitHub or LinkedIn accounts if you verify them.
- Activity: votes, comments, reviews, follows and collections.
- Outbound clicks: when you click through to a product we log the product, source page, referrer, country, device type and whether the request looks automated. IP addresses are hashed for fraud checks and not stored in plain text.
- Signup attribution: if a maker installs the outcomes pixel, their site tells us a visitor we sent signed up. We receive an event and a click reference, not your details on that site.
- Payments: handled by Stripe or Razorpay. We store order records, never full card numbers.
- Revenue verification: makers who verify revenue grant read-only access to their billing provider. We store only a revenue band, never customer data.
- Newsletter: your email, chosen topics, and sign-up source.
How we use it
- To run accounts, launches, rankings and payments.
- To weight votes by trust and detect fraud, vote rings and bots.
- To show makers aggregate traffic and signup numbers. Makers see counts and breakdowns, not individual visitors.
- To send the emails you asked for: transactional messages, launch reminders and the newsletter.
What is public
Your handle, name, avatar, bio, products you make, comments and reviews are public. Votes are counted publicly but individual voters are not listed. Product data is also published through our API, feeds and llms.txt.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. Raw click logs are aggregated into daily stats and then trimmed. When you delete your account we remove your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax, fraud prevention or legal reasons.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to processing, and unsubscribe from any email at any time. Most of this is in your account settings; for anything else email hello@dodolaunch.com. If you are in the EU, UK or India you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
We will post changes here and email you about material ones before they take effect.
